Modern Buddhism: The Path of Compassion and Wisdom

The talk will be based on the book Modern Buddhism; the Path of Wisdom and Compassion. This book, by renowned author and meditation master, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, is a special presentation of Buddha's teachings on compassion and wisdom that communicates their essence in a way that is easy to understand and put into practice. $10.00

Saturday Morning March 31 10:00am-1:00pm
Freedom from Fear

This half day event will introduce basic Buddhist teachings on dealing with fear and stress, as well as direct students towards more in-depth and profound spiritual trainings that lead us towards our potential for complete fearlessness, the state of enlightenment. Gen Khedrub will offer teachings, guided meditations, and facilitate discussion on these important topics. $25.00

Saturday Afternoon March 31 4:00-5:00pm
Meditations for Kids

Kids need a positive mind and a healthy way for dealing with stress and frustration just as much as adults do. Gen Khedrub will spend some time offering basic advice and meditation geared for kids aged 5-9. Parents as asked to accompany their kids during this class. Free.

Saturday Evening March 31 7:00-8:30pm
Living a Healthy Life: A Spiritual Perspective.

Buddha gave both profound teachings on our unlimited potential, as well as practical advice on how to live a more balanced and healthy life. This evening event with Gen Khedrub will explore how to apply basic Buddhism wisdom to things as common as eating, sleeping, resting and relaxing so that we can transform our daily activities into spiritual paths. $10.00

Meditation and Discussion on Cherishing Others

Everyone is welcome to this informal event with Gen Khedrub where we can consider a Buddhist approach to cherishing others, have some time for simple meditation, and share some discussion. Everyone is welcome. Free.
